Sarah’s Senior Session | Cohasset Highschool Senior

Seniors, there are hundreds of kids in your class. You are all so alike. You like all the same things. The same music, food, clothes, students, teachers, subjects, celebrities, trends, apps, movies, sports and weekend fun.

Oh, you don’t? You’re not all alike? Then why on earth are your senior pictures looking just like everyone else???

I get the Yearbook Photo. That’s one thing. That’s a standard elbow up, head shot. We do that shot first, get that tucked away and then there’s the rest. The rest of the session should be fun and all about you and who you are. Not about what the senior did before you. Not what your friends did. Not where everyone else did theirs, but what will show everyone who you are. It doesn’t all have to hinge on location (trust me, I love beaches as you’ll see and read about in future posts) but how your personality fits in that location.

Meet Sarah. She was not interested in a beach session. She wanted something totally different that highlighted who she is. She’s kind of quiet, funny and has her own style. This was a fun collaborative effort between my studio wardrobe and what she brought. You know who she is by this session. You know what she’s not. She’s not just like everyone else. She’s 1 of 1. And so is her Senior Portrait Session.
