Jack’s Senior Pictures | Hingham Highschool

Jack’s mom, Alissa, told me over and over. “This is the absolute last thing he wants to do. He’s really being photographed for me and yearbook. Jack is a really dressed down, rocker T-shirt, sport short type of kid that just wants to get this over with.” OK, not my first senior guy to feel this way. I was wondering if he was going to smile at all, how the dynamic would be with his mom there. I always like to mentally prepare on some level. There are always expectations and then I get to see how right or wrong I was.

I was wrong. Jack, was the sweetest, most polite subject ever. Pretty obvious in every picture! He and his mom are truly good friends and it’s just awesome. When they came back for their image presentation, before they saw an image, Jack confessed, “Even if we didn’t get one, I would actually do it again. It wasn’t that bad at all.” That is huge for me to hear. Glad I can debunk to a shy kid that having your portrait taken isn’t awkward at all.

Well, we got more than one! No re shoot needed! Alissa was thrilled and shocked. “You captured the essence of my son. Right here. That expression. It’s amazing.” Just shy of needing a tissue, Jack gave her a big, sweet hug.

Thanks Jack for the perma smile and your sweet charm! Good luck and congratulations!
