Alyssa | Beautiful in the Skin She Is In

This is Alyssa. She is a charming, adorable, confident girl. For someone in her early 2o’s, she has such a great sense of who she is and what she wants regardless of the what the status quo is doing around her.

Recently, she was diagnosed with Scleroderma, which is a chronic autoimmune connective tissue disease of which there is no cure. It causes the skin to discolor, thicken and grow hard as well as experiencing pain and stiffness in the joint. There are so many other symptoms of this disease. But Alyssa’s diagnosis and symptons hasn’t had her miss a beat. She definitely does not have the personality to hide, be embarrassed or sad about it. This girl goes forward skipping and clicking her heals together.

Alyssa is a breath of fresh air and I had an absolute ball photographing her and all her enthusiasm!
